Read left to right within each thread. Parallel rows can span different lives and ages. The columns organize steps; they do not synchronize time. Dashed arrows compress intervening events and do not establish cause.

THE TURN AND ITS EVIDENCE

Choose a moment in the map.

Each card opens an explanation, the people involved, and its source couplets. Lines can also be selected to inspect how events are connected.

READING THESE PATHS

Actual events, selected

These maps follow selected events from the poem. Every card has source couplets. The branches trace actual threads and convergences; they offer no imagined alternatives or probabilities.

Agency within constraint

An initiative can be an act of care, persuasion, concealment, violence, or rule. The label identifies an action, not a moral ranking. Pressures, responses and outcomes include the actions of men and communities around the principal women.

Sequence and consequence

Solid lines identify an explicit response or continuation in an episode. Dashed lines move to a later selected event. Some spans contain whole adventures that this map compresses. Read the connection note and source passages before drawing a causal conclusion.

Ten books · 18 principal figures · 80 selected events · 61 connections, from the New Naqqali translation as published on 22 October 2026. Card size, spacing and line width do not show totals, time elapsed or importance. Family trees are in the fifth graph, A Family, Rewoven.
