Gharan Spears Barman at White Castle

From B1.6, Nohzar’s Third Battle with Afrasiab. It illustrates B1.6.57–63:

B1.6.57
Then Barman came, like lion fierce and grim,To meet the storm that now advanced on him.
B1.6.58
Gharan beheld him charging through the fight,Amid the blood-dark dust with furious might.
B1.6.59
Like lions they grappled in the bloody fray,And Gharan gave him no time for delay.
B1.6.60
He charged at once and called on Yazdan’s aid,His heart on vengeance and on battle stayed.
B1.6.61
Then Gharan drove his spear through Barman’s belt,And broke the frame beneath the blow he dealt.
B1.6.62
Headfirst he tumbled from his steed in flight; The sun within the shining sphere lost light.
B1.6.63
His men beheld their champion dead outright; His army broke and scattered at the sight.
