Zarasp's Riderless Horse Flees

From B12.8, Forood Slays Zarasp. It illustrates B12.8.13–15:

  • B12.8.13
Forood spurred forward, bowstring drawn with might,And struck Zarasp through the middle in his flight.
  • B12.8.14
The shaft pinned body fast to saddle frame; Its arrowhead consumed his vital flame.
  • B12.8.15
He fell; his steed forsook him where he lay,And raced full speed back down the mountain way.
