From E7.5, Khosrow Builds the Throne of Taqdis. It illustrates E7.5.36–44:
- E7.5.36From every land he summoned noble men,And spoke about the ancient throne again.
- E7.5.37He found among them fragments of that seat,And hastened, glad to make the work complete.
- E7.5.38He brought the throne of Ardeshir in view,And gathered all Iran’s best craftsmen too.
- E7.5.39So in that victorious monarch’s days,They built the throne again for royal praise.
- E7.5.40From Rum and distant Chin the craftsmen sped,From Makran, Babylon, Iran were led.
- E7.5.41One thousand and one hundred twenty came; They knew the throne’s construction and its frame.
- E7.5.42Each master had beneath him thirty hands,From Rum, Babylon, all Iran’s wide lands.
- E7.5.43The Shah commanded all to labor hard,And every pause and respite firmly barred.
- E7.5.44In two years’ toil they raised the royal throne,And when it rose, high Fortune brightly shone.
