Samangan's King Meets Rostam

From B8.3, Rostam Arrives at the City of Samangan. It illustrates B8.3.3–9:

B8.3.3
The nobles, each in ceremonial array,Went forth to meet him on the open way.
B8.3.4
As all beheld him, wonder filled each one:“Is this great Rostam, or the rising sun?”
B8.3.5
On foot the king came forth with eager pace; His gathered army filled the meeting-place.
B8.3.6
He bowed and said: “What foe has barred your path?Who dared to test himself against your wrath?
B8.3.7
All Samangan wishes you success; Each man obeys your word without protest.
B8.3.8
Our wealth and bodies answer your command; Our nobles’ hearts and lives are in your hand.”
B8.3.9
Then Rostam weighed the words the monarch said,And dark suspicion from his spirit fled.
