The chiefs dismounted, ready now to tryTo clear the stone beneath which he must lie.

They wore their hands in labor, strained and pressed; The chiefs grew weary; still the stone lay at rest.

Sweat streamed from those illustrious men in vain; The stone stayed at the pit-mouth through their strain.

The lion-chief dismounted in his might,And tucked his jowshan’s hem in girdle tight.
C2.24.14
He asked Yazdan to lend His strength and care,Then gripped the rock and raised it through the air.
C2.24.15
He hurled it into Chin’s woods; it struck the ground,And all the earth beneath it shook with sound.
