Giv Brings the News to Zal

From C4.49, Zal and Rostam Are Summoned. It illustrates C4.49.21–27:

When Giv had heard, he chose some valiant men,And rode in anger, sunk in thought again.

He journeyed on toward Sistan’s famous land,And reached where Zal and Rostam held command.

He told them all the strange events he knew,The things that he had heard and witnessed too.

Then Zal grew sad and spoke in deep distress:“Our lot is joined with pain and bitterness.”

He said to Rostam, “Call the wise who readThe stars, summon Mobadan whom we need.

From Zabul summon them, from Kabul too,To share the road with us the journey through.”
