Khosrow Rises to Greet Zal

From C4.51, Zal Admonishes Kay Khosrow. It illustrates C4.51.23–27:

  The king of kings, when he beheld Zal’s face,And heard brave Rostam’s voice within that place,

  Rose, deep in thought, and held his hand out straight;Still standing, he inquired about their state.

  From Zabul, Danbar, Ghanooj, Kabul too,He gave those learned men the honor due.

  He greeted each with courtesy and care,And ranked them by the honor each should bear.

  To Iran’s chiefs he gave their fitting place;Then Zal bowed low and spoke with solemn grace:
