Gharan Meets the Sable Banner

From C4.6, Afrasiab Sends Envoys to Khosrow. It illustrates C4.6.73–77:

C4.6.73
When Gharan reached the envoys on the plain,He saw the sable flag above their train.
C4.6.74
He came to Shideh, courteous in greeting,And gave the Shah’s salute upon their meeting.
C4.6.75
The young man answered him in honeyed speech,Bright-minded, shrewd, with wisdom in his reach.
C4.6.76
He told what Afrasiab bade him say,Of peace and war and terms to end the fray.
C4.6.77
When wise Gharan had heard the message through,He found its wording fair and counsel true.
