Mahwi's Lying Tale to the Captains

From E10.12, Mahwi of Sur Takes the Throne. It illustrates E10.12.40–43:

  He summoned all the captains to his hall,And told the lying tale before them all.
• E10.12.41
  They knew, “This tale is false; it would be bestTo strike his shameless head from off his breast.”
• E10.12.42
  A Pahlevan said, “True or false, the claimIs your affair; you bear it in your name.”
• E10.12.43
  Mahwi then sat upon the royal seat,And seized Khorasan through his own deceit.
