Rostam Slays the White Elephant

From A9.3, Rostam Slays the White Elephant. It illustrates A9.3.24–29:

A9.3.24
Then Rostam roared, a lion fierce and bold,And strode ahead; no trace of fear took hold.
A9.3.25
The elephant saw Rostam and came on,A mountain charging before night was gone.
A9.3.26
The elephant, enraged, surged forth to kill,Its trunk raised high with devastating will.
A9.3.27
Then Rostam raised Sahm’s gorz above his head,And struck; the mountain-bodied beast bowed dead.
A9.3.28
Its mountain-body bent beneath the stroke; The mighty frame beneath that iron broke.
A9.3.29
Like Mount Bistoon it trembled at the blow,Then crashed upon the earth and was laid low.
