Duel on the Barren Rocks

From C4.8, Kay Khosrow Battles Shideh. It illustrates C4.8.44–49:

C4.8.44
There those two warriors, wolf-like in their ire,With steeds beside them marked the field of fire.
C4.8.45
Like hungry lions on the day of chase,They wheeled with lances in a furious race.
C4.8.46
Round after round they drove with ruthless force,Till noon stood high above each foaming horse.
C4.8.47
No lancehead lasted through that fierce campaign;Sweat soaked the bargostvans and bridle-rein.
C4.8.48
With Roman gorzes and with swords they clashed; Each met the other as their weapons crashed.
C4.8.49
Their blows made earth grow black with blood they spilled;Yet neither found his lust for battle stilled.
