Yazdegard Beholds His Grown Son

From D9.5, Bahram and Numan Visit Yazdegard. It illustrates D9.5.9–13:

  • D9.5.9
When word of their arrival reached the hall,The Shah gave ear and listened to it all.
  • D9.5.10
The Mobadan and shrewd-hearted sages came,To greet the son of royal blood and name.
  • D9.5.11
When from afar the Shah beheld Bahram,His grace, his limbs, his height, his bearing calm,
  • D9.5.12
He stood amazed to see him trained and tall,So fair in form, accomplished before all.
  • D9.5.13
He welcomed him and gave him quarters near,And asked him many questions, glad to hear.
