Bahram Dies in His Sister's Arms

From E6.37, Bahram Falls by Kharrad’s Design. It illustrates E6.37.127–129:

  • E6.37.127
He counseled then his sister long and well,Embraced her head, and spoke his last farewell.
  • E6.37.128
He pressed his lips beside her listening ear;His eyes filled up with blood as death drew near.
  • E6.37.129
Then life departed; all around him wept,And bitter sorrow in their hearts they kept.
